Monferrato region

The Monferrato, which is mainly between the provinces of Asti and Alessandria. It borders the Langhe and Roero to the south, the Lomellina region to the northeast, the Turin hills to the west and the Alessandria plain to the east. 

 

Monferrato is an area where nature reigns: huge hilly expanses, abundant vineyards from which excellent Piedmontese wines are obtained, numerous luxuriant forests, long streams that make the land rich and profitable, ancient villages and beautiful castles from afar reaching a historic and cultural significance.
